There’s a sweet kitty named Peppers who’s having serious health problems. Her people are willing to go the distance with her but don’t have the funds, which are likely to total around $4500 by the end of it all. If you can donate even just $2 to help out, that would be great. I’ve seen several cats the internet has saved, including Darling Millie whose story is here: : DayOne: The Rescue | DayTwo: The Bad News | DayThree: First Photos | Kitten Naming Contest Part One (voting closed) | Kitten Naming Contest Part Two | Thanks. Bit by bit those little donations add up and can help out a kitty. Visit Pepper’s page to learn about her just for fun, and see how to donate through PayPal or email for a snail mail address, if you can. And spread the word too. :) Update: Sadly, Pepper lost her fight. Her body just couldn’t overcome her illness. They are no longer accepting donations, but healing energy or prayers for her family are welcome.

Look out for those nipaholics. Your catnip stash is doomed if they find it.

I’m a cat person. So I’ve been very concerned lately about all the pet food recalls. I’ve also been concerned that the recalls are made often weeks after problems are discovered. So I’ve been keeping track of breaking news on the pet food contamination issues. If you have a pet, I suggest you do the same. Daily the news grows more grim. The best place I’ve found for up to date information is Itchmo. They have a blog, a pet food recall page, and an email list for breaking news related to pet food contamination. If you love your kitties or other pets like I do, please visit there or another daily resource, sign up for email notices, and stay aware.

I’ve donated some cool kitty-related charms to be auctioned off for a lady who rescues cats in Oregon. Jody, the cat rescuer, does more to help cats than I can even think of. Jody has a blog here, if you’d like to learn more. So if you like cats, check out the auction. I get nothing at all from it. ML, the lady who is having the auction gets nothing. Jody, the cat rescuer, keeps none of it for herself. So any moneys raised go to help out cats.
My kitties approve!

Don’t forget to take time for yourself and have fun.
It’s the wise thing to do.

But there are new crystals and a new February special up at CrystalsAndJewelry.com as of last night. Newsletter is in the works still. I had to be up early for a doctor’s appointment so I could go spend half the day waiting. And waiting. And waiting. And… well, you know how it is.
My cat Sanjee is not well known for her adoration of her adopted sister (sisfur) Mini. They both want to be top cat — oops! So Sanjee decided to be helpful by selling Mini! Of course, I won’t let her ship Mini off anywhere because I’m very fond of her, whatever Sanjee may think. So Sanjee is selling Mini this way. hehehe

… to help out
Cheysuli is a blogging Siamese cat that’s a friend of my kitties. She has a contest going now to get suggestions for what she should do for 2007, especially for her 2008 presidential campaign. Prizes for winners of her contest are donations to sponsor a kitty at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, a place that helps animals in need, gives homes to special needs critters that can’t find homes, and sponsors humane education. So I just had to come up with some suggestions for her contest.
Here you go, Chey!
1. Cheysuli should resolve to come up with a cool Meezer t-shirt for Cat Friends Helping Friends.
2. Cheysuli should resolve to get her human to help her make campaign shirt designs and stuff so I can get one and promote her 2008 presidential campaign!
3. Cheysuli should resolve to participate in the 2007 Cat Olympics to be scheduled for this summer, as a way of promoting healthful activities for all cats.
Happy New Year Chey!

I love cats!
As many of you know already, I love cats. Oh yes, I do.
The cats I’m owned by are hosting the Carnival of the Cats #142 at their blog today. What fun! You see, they ganged up and sat on me and forced me to type out the carnival stuff for them. Ok, that’s not exactly how it happened, but close enough. They made me make a blogging cat calendar too, to raise money for their catblogging friends in need. I must say I’m pleased with how it turned out. I haven’t totally lost my graphic design skills after all.
Cats and Healing Prayers. Whodathunkit?
The catbloggers are super, if you didn’t already know that. We have live healing prayer circles/vigils at least once a month to get together to send healing purrs and say “purrayers” for cat friends and their beans (that’s human beans) who are sick or in a bad patch of some sort. If you ever want to join in, please do. (We’re doing two this week, I think, tonight at 9pm EST, and Monday evening sometime). Even dogs have been known to attend. There’s even a Pet Prayer and Praise Blog run by catbloggers with a weekly prayer list and Sunday Sermon.
The cats are bent on world domination, it seems. Or at least blogosphere domination. hehehe
Oh, did I mention that I love cats?
